Kuala Lumpur, Bali and Scuba Diving

We spent two nights in Kuala Lumpur on our way to Bali for some RnR. It was a very relaxing time. After that, we flew to Bali for our dive instruction course.

Our dive instructor, Amanda. She took really good care of us and trained us very well. She was pretty strict with us and didn't cut any corners, which is exactly what we were looking for. We feel confident we got the best instruction possible.

We dove virtually all of these dive sites in our 4 day adventure. It was so beautiful underwater! What an experience!

Torrential downpours in Bali. This is actually a road turned into a river right by our room.

Enjoying a relaxing timein Kuala Lumpur

We stayed at a super groovy hotel called Traders that overlooks the KLCC and the Petronas Towers. At night, they open the pool area on the roof up as a funky lounge.

Next stop, Switzerland! We skied for 3 days at the Jungfrau. Absolutely terrific! We even got that White Christmas we were looking for!

We thought it was so neat how the trains take you up soooo high that you ski off of them.

Amsterdam, 2009

For out 3 week Christmas holiday, Jen and I decided to go for a big holiday! We wanted a white Christmas with skiing but also scuba diving. How is that possible? Well, follow the next few and find out.

Amsterdam is really a unique and beautiful city. It's fun to just wander and see the snowy canals.

A must pic for any Amsterdam visitor

Lost again...

Some friends from Jakarta who used to live in Amsterdam showed us around a bit.

Enjoying lunch and a nice Belgium beer.

Finally, we made it inside the Heineken museum.

Just off the plane and into the city!
