Bandung, Indonesia

Jen and I took a trip to train trip to Bandung with Jim and Liz. We only went for a night but enjoyed ourselves. We went to a movie theater for the first time and saw Parnormal Activity. Totally freaked us out. I sweated through my shirt during the movie. HA!

Singapore and random Jakarta life

I decided to surprise Jen for a weekend trip somewhere. I got her all the way to the ticket counter before she realized we were going to Singapore. It was great!

Our first trip to Bali...but not our last!

We had a great time in Bali over the mid-semester break. We traveled with some new found friends Jim and Liz, who also live in Bintaro.

Here's a few pics-

Jen and I after our first Discovery Dive. It was awesome! We were able to do an hour long shore dive and saw some amazing corals and fish. We liked it so much, we decided we must get certified. Our plans are to go back in January for a 4 day open water course.

Yogykarta and Borobudur

Our first 4 day weekend, we traveled to Yogykarta to see more of Java. There are some amazing things to see and do in Indonesia. It was fascinating to go to a town where there are Buddhist, Hindu and Muslim relics all about.

These are a bit mixed up but here's one of the entrances to Borobudur.

We went to lunch at the Hyatt.

The grounds of the Hyatt were well manicured. There's a 9 hole golf course waaaay out in the distance.

Bintaro Oktoberfest

Jen and some other residents put on quite a party! Jen made the sign and ordered up some frau dresses. We had it catered with Bratwurst, pretzels and beer. Have a look see.
